PULSE-PROBE WIRELESS DROPULA

Water meter suppliers have a range of pulse probe meters which send out electrical pulses on a wired connection indicating a certain volume of flow has passed through the water meter. These devices traditionally require manual reading of the register value for monitoring purposes, but in using BridgIoT’s services it is possible to take these meters online by interfacing the pulse output of the meter with with a wireless Dropula for communication of data.

MBUS-SIGFOX DROPULA

Water meter suppliers, such as Kamstrup, have a range of wireless meters which utilise the wireless M-BUS communication protocol. This protocol has a practical range of around 100 m @ 868MHz. Traditionally, readings from these wireless devices are taken by performing drive-by surveys, but by using BridgIoT’s MBUS-to-Sigfox bridge it is possible to have these meters report to the cloud at 10-min intervals.
