About BridgIoT

BridgIoT is a startup company focussed on systems integration and solution development within the IoT space. The company has several proven products which are currently in the commercialization stage. Concurrently BridgIoT is involved in novel R&D projects for industry partners.

Being a spin-off company from the University of Stellenbosch, BridgIoT has a relatively young team with inspired and like-minded people working towards shared goals. A good support network of experienced and influential people provide a strong basis for the company.

BridgIoT provides the opportunity for flexible hours and remote working, provided good work ethic and progress is shown. We are aware that intellectuals run on coffee and as such, there is always coffee available in the office. Office hours are specified as 9 hours between 08:00 – 17:00.

Job Duties

● Sales communications via email and phone
● Constant communication with colleagues
● Professional exchanges in writing and speaking
● Revising documentation to ensure clarity for the end-user
● Communicating with suppliers
● Maintaining & updating stock sheets● Keeping a thorough communications record with clients & diligently following up
● Scheduling tasks with technicians
● Overseeing & optimising operational procedures (device installations/check-ups)
● Maintaining BridgIoT’s social media presence across multiple platforms
● Handling phone calls professionally
● Filing documentation correctly

Requirements

● Qualification in sales/marketing/communications/management or a related field
● Proven work experience in sales & communications
● Excellent communication skills—spoken and written (English and Afrikaans)
● Quick learner—familiarising yourself with new platforms & procedures
● Adaptable—performing varied tasks & shifting focus with ease
● Ability to work & thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Adept at problem-solving across a range of areas
● Good people skills—professional, patient & understanding when dealing with clients (& colleagues)
● Proficient with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, Airtables)
● Familiarity with Gmail, Gdrive and Slack
● Strong organisational and time-management skills
● Self-motivated
● Cheerful and friendly attitude

Remuneration: R15,000 per month
Leave: Standard 20 days per annum
